Chris Barnes, PLA (RRSLA BLA ’09) and Senior Associate at SCAPE / Landscape Architecture in New York City, plays a key role toward the implementation of resilient and adaptive landscapes; engaging with community and design professionals to develop tailored design solutions to site challenges.  This Friday, Chris will visit the Coastal Sustainability Studio and present on the Living Breakwaters project in Tottenville, Staten Island, and a developer based shoreline implementation project at Red Hoek Point.

Prior to SCAPE, Chris worked at a multi-disciplinary design firm in Beijing, China and as a Project Manager at Thomas Balsley Associates. Chris works on a range of projects at multiple scales, including Red Hoek Point Waterfront Development (see image below) and First Avenue Water Plaza, as well as the recent implementation of the New York Presbyterian and Columbia University Medical Center Campus Masterplan sites.
