Clint Willson, PhD, PE
Clint Willson is the Mike N. Dooley, P.E. Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the LSU Center for River Studies. He previously served as the Director of Engineering Design and Innovation at the Water Institute of the Gulf as well as the Chair of the Changing Course Technical Team. Clint has been at LSU for 18 years and his expertise is environmental and water resources engineering. One of his major areas of research is in physical and numerical modeling of Mississippi River hydrodynamics and sediment transport. Clint holds a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State, a MS degree in Environmental Health Engineering from UT-Austin, and a PhD in Civil Engineering from UT-Austin, Prior to coming to LSU, he spent two years as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
