
Mary Bergeron
Mary Bergeron is the Assistant Director of the LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio, responsible for organizational development and advancement. She is a twenty year veteran of business development, marketing, corporate image positioning, and project management with special emphasis on identifying new lines of business for an organization, turning around declining revenue, and improving organizational prestige. During her sales and marketing career in the information technology sector and organizational leadership in the public and non-profit worlds, Mary has been consistently acknowledged for growth, achievement, increased revenues, and profitability. Upon joining LSU CSS in 2015, Mary facilitated the development of the CSS five-year strategic plan and continues to work toward supporting its primary objectives: building capacity, conducting multi-disciplinary research, encouraging multi-disciplinary education, and promoting big idea thinking.
Prior to CSS, Mary served as the Director of Advancement and Development for the LSU School of the Coast and Environment, where she contributed to the overall strategy for advancing the School’s mission, brand, and recruitment efforts; spearheaded communications; and increased the number and amounts of new gifts for the School through grants and proposals.
