Sam Bentley, PhD

Dr. Bentley is the Associate Dean for Research at the LSU College of Science and a Professor in the LSU Department of Geology. His work involves field, laboratory, and modeling studies of sediments and stratigraphy on continental margins of ocean basins, including the Mississippi Delta. His research interests include coastal and marine sedimentology, sediment radiochemistry, fine sediment dynamics on continental shelves, bioturbation, predictive modeling of sedimentary fabric and structures.
